Magnificent sandwich filler. Underrated in my opinion.
I often like to add READY SALTED tescos brand crisps.
I know how to fucking live.

Corned beef is salt-cured brisket of beef. The term comes from the treatment of the meat with large-grained rock salt, also called "corns" of salt. Sometimes, sugar and spices are also added to corned beef recipes. Corned beef is featured as an ingredient in many cuisines

That's the Irish version of corned beef.
The stuff Lenny is talking about is indeed a mysterious processed substance. The principle flavour being salt.
Having said that, it is marvellous in a sandwich with either Branston style chutney or piccalilli (the sweet or sour to balance the salt)

Corned beef descends from the salt beef Irish peasants had to eat if they wanted to eat beef at all, as it was much cheaper than the fresh meat.
Far more of a peasant food than mustard
